Coming Home. Rediscovering Home. Reclaiming the home once belonging to our ancestors.
It is a longing—mine—that has slowly taken shape over the years, walking beside me through my journeys, during international wanderings and life overseas.
And yet, my home is—and has always been—Serravalle, in Vittorio Veneto.
There, where the wind funnels between two mountains, opening a glimpse of the plain that leads to Venice.
There, where a small village shelters itself from the Prealpine storms.
There, I came into the world.
And what a world, mine…
A world that led me to live far away, to cross the ocean, to discover Asia, to reach the southernmost tip of Patagonia.
But every time, with every gust of wind, the call of that little village nestled against Monte Altare echoed in my heart, like a child against its mother’s chest.
I always knew my home was in Serravalle.
That is why a Domus is born today.
A home to welcome those who, like me, carry within them a deep curiosity for the world—a desire to explore it, to listen to it, to inhabit it.
But Domus is not just a roof, not merely a place to rest.
It is a meeting point: with history, with art, with the written word, with landscapes still breathing the footsteps of those who came before us.
Domus Serravalle will be a starting point for exploring the village I love—my town, Vittorio Veneto—and its surrounding region: the Marca Trevigiana, framed by the Prosecco hills.
That’s why, in addition to hospitality, we’ll offer cultural and experiential paths:
• artistic walks among palaces, frescoes, and hidden details;
• literary itineraries, discovering authors who once walked these very squares;
• historical strolls, through stones and walls that still whisper tales of battles, escapes, and rebirths.
All this will be paired with convivial, sensory experiences: flavors of the land, small tastes of tradition, and of course, its wines—from the UNESCO-listed Prosecco hills to the sweet Passito di Fregona.
Because perhaps every castle is a home to someone.
And every home, if it truly welcomes, can become a new Domus.
Welcome!
